Dalton is challenging scandal-plagued extremist Cory Mills
Sanford, FL – Former U.S. Senator from Florida and NASA Administrator Bill Nelson announced today his endorsement of Bale Dalton in Florida’s 7th Congressional District. Dalton, a distinguished Naval aviator and former NASA Chief of Staff, served under Nelson in both the Senate and at NASA.
Senator Bill Nelson released the following statement:
“I am proud to endorse Bale Dalton for Congress because of his unyielding faith in America’s highest ideals. As a U.S. Navy aviator, Bale led sailors through multiple combat deployments—bound by duty, united by mission, and sustained by their love of country.
At NASA, Bale brought that same can-do spirit as Chief of Staff, guiding some of our nation’s most daring missions. I’ve seen his deep belief that America has the responsibility to lead in an increasingly competitive world. Bale understands that a public office is a public trust and is not an occupation but an obligation to serve the people.
This is a moment for a new generation of leaders like Bale—proven public servants guided by American progress, not party politics. In Congress, Bale Dalton will serve as he always has: with integrity, humility, and a belief that America’s promise remains the world’s greatest cause—and is always worth fighting for.”
Bale Dalton, candidate for Florida’s 7th Congressional District, expressed gratitude for the endorsement:
“My entire career has been about serving our country, and I know that Senator Nelson understands that we need a leader who is focused on getting things done for all Floridians. I’m very grateful to have his support.”
ABOUT BALE DALTON:
Bale Dalton is a decorated Navy Captain and former Chief of Staff at NASA and has always answered the call to serve America.
One of four raised in a hardworking Central Florida family, Bale graduated at the top of his class and was selected to attend the U.S. Naval Academy. He served in the U.S. Navy and Navy Reserve for 23 years, 13 years on active duty, with deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, the Horn of Africa, and the Pacific. As a Navy helicopter pilot, Bale flew medical evacuation missions in Kuwait, delivered relief after Hurricane Katrina, supported special operations in Iraq and Africa, and directed combat air support in Afghanistan.
After active duty, he worked at the State Department and for Senator Bill Nelson in Congress. Bale returned to active duty as commanding officer of the Navy’s special operations support squadron, then used his military background to improve efficiency and operations at an aerospace company in the private sector. As NASA Chief of Staff, he managed 16,500 employees and helped run one of the federal government’s most effective agencies.
After a lifetime of service, Bale Dalton is fed up with politicians like Cory Mills who have turned their back on American families and put themselves ahead of the people they serve.
Among numerous scandals, Mills has been investigated by law enforcement for assaulting a young woman, and was issued a restraining order by a judge for harassing another. He is currently under investigation for ethics violations related to profiting from the sale of arms in government contracts. Allegations have been raised about the veracity of Mills’ claims regarding his military service. Cory Mills has shown repeatedly that he will always look out for his own interests at the expense of helping the Floridians he claims to represent.
Florida’s 7th Congressional District includes all of Seminole County and the southern half of Volusia County.
