Rep. Kathy Castor Endorses Bale Dalton

The Central Florida Congresswoman Praised Dalton’s Record of Service and Florida-First Campaign to Defeat Congressman Cory Mills

Sanford, FL – Congresswoman Kathy Castor (FL-14) announced her endorsement of Bale Dalton in Florida’s 7th Congressional District today.

Rep. Castor expressed her support, saying:

“Bale has demonstrated his valiant commitment to the people of the United States through 23 years of service and leadership in the U.S. Navy and Navy Reserve. I know he will put Florida first, and look forward to working with him to lower costs, create safe communities, protect health care, and ensure every Floridian has the freedom to thrive. His record of building a grassroots movement and delivering real results shows he is ready to bring that same determination to Washington.”

Dalton expressed gratitude for Rep. Castor’s support:

“Rep. Castor and I share a deep commitment to Central Florida, and know that things have to change. We need to make life affordable again. We need representatives who are focused on their constituents, not their corruption charges. We need and deserve better than Congressman Mills. I’m grateful for Rep. Castor’s trust that this is the right campaign to win in November and deliver for Central Florida.

In addition to this endorsement, Dalton has earned the support of prominent Florida leaders, including U.S. Senator Bill Nelson and Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. In January, the Cook Political Report released new ratings, shifting the race towards Dalton.

ABOUT BALE DALTON:

Bale Dalton is a decorated Navy Captain and former NASA Chief of Staff who has always answered the call to serve America. One of four raised in a hardworking Central Florida family, Bale graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and has served in the U.S. Navy and Navy Reserve for 23 years. He deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, the Horn of Africa, and the Pacific, flying Navy helicopters and directing air combat support with Navy SEALs in Afghanistan.

Following active duty, he worked for Senator Bill Nelson, helping Florida veterans access the care and benefits they had earned. After an additional stint on active duty, Bale returned to government service as NASA Chief of Staff. At NASA, he managed 16,500 employees and helped run one of the federal government’s most effective agencies.

After a lifetime of service, Bale is now running against Congressman Cory Mills in Florida’s 7th Congressional District. Mills is under investigation by the House Ethics Committee for sexual misconduct, dating violence, and for improperly profiting from arms sales in government contracts. In October, a Florida judge issued a restraining order against Cory Mills, to protect his ex-girlfriend from blackmail and intimidation.
