Dalton is challenging scandal-plagued extremist Cory Mills
Sanford, FL – Bale Dalton, a distinguished Naval aviator and former NASA Chief of Staff, announced raising $200,000 in just one week since launching his campaign for Congress in Florida’s 7th Congressional district. This fundraising total puts Bale in a strong position to defeat Rep. Cory Mills, who reported just $134,000 cash on hand as of September 30.
Bale Dalton, candidate for Florida’s 7th Congressional District, released the following statement:
“I am so grateful to have the support of so many Floridians who trust me to fight for them in Congress. I’m running because our community deserves leaders who know what real service looks like. It’s courage, sacrifice, and putting the American people first. I will put people ahead of politics to lower costs and deliver results. I’m tired of politicians who are only in it for themselves.”

Bale Dalton is a decorated Navy Captain and former Chief of Staff at NASA and has always answered the call to serve America.
One of four raised in a hardworking Central Florida family, Bale graduated at the top of his class and was selected to attend the U.S. Naval Academy. He served in the U.S. Navy and Navy Reserve for 23 years, 13 years on active duty, with deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, the Horn of Africa, and the Pacific. As a Navy helicopter pilot, Bale flew medical evacuation missions in Kuwait, delivered relief after Hurricane Katrina, supported special operations in Iraq and Africa, and directed combat air support in Afghanistan.
After active duty, he worked at the State Department and for Senator Bill Nelson in Congress. As NASA Chief of Staff, he managed 16,500 employees and helped run one of the federal government’s most effective agencies.
After a lifetime of service, Bale Dalton is fed up with politicians like Cory Mills who have turned their back on American families and put themselves ahead of the people they serve.
Among numerous scandals, Mills has been investigated by law enforcement for assaulting a young woman, and was issued a restraining order by a judge for harassing another. He is currently under investigation for ethics violations related to profiting from the sale of arms in government contracts. Allegations have been raised about the veracity of Mills’ claims regarding his military service. Cory Mills has shown repeatedly that he will always look out for his own interests at the expense of helping the Floridians he claims to represent.
Florida’s 7th Congressional District includes all of Seminole County and the southern half of Volusia County.
