Navy Combat Veteran Bale Dalton Reacts: “Only someone who’s never seen war could be so clueless and callous about the ‘cost of freedom.’”
Sanford, FL – In a new interview, Congressional Candidate Ryan Elijah, who the President said stands for “EVERYTHING MAGA,” was asked his position on how the Iran war was being handled. Elijah has expressed his support for the Iran war previously, saying “We’ve got to finish the job” in Iran. He doubled down on his support for the war, saying Floridians “understand there is a cost of freedom.”
Bale Dalton, a Navy combat veteran of Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Horn of Africa, and the Democratic nominee for Congress in Florida’s Seventh District, issued the following statement:
“I’ve spent 24 years and counting in the Navy and Navy Reserves, fighting the terrorists who said “Death to America” after 9/11. I know there’s a cost to freedom because I have lived it – flying injured troops to safety as a medevac pilot, leading combat operations against Al-Qaeda, ISIS and the Taliban, and helping the families of fallen service members when the worst happens.
Only someone who’s never seen war could be so clueless and callous about the cost of freedom. Unlike Mr. Elijah, I know what I’m talking about – which is why I’m willing to ask the hard questions about the new needless war he is all too willing to plunge your sons and daughters into. Because its cost is lives lost with no strategic goal, our military readiness eviscerated, and our economy in tatters. All for an end-state (if we ever get there) that leaves us worse off in the Middle East, and more vulnerable to the terror elements I spent years fighting.
Although he’s never served, I’d advise Mr. Elijah to speak with some actual families of those in harm’s way before he talks about costs he’s never paid.”
